Did you know the leading cause of poisonings in the home for children under the age of six is liquid dish soap? This is why I like this DIY: Non-Toxic Dish Soap recipe  free of  toxic chemicals like formaldehyde and ammonia.

Directions: Mix 2 cups of liquid castile soap with ½ cup of warm water in your bowl. Castile soap is any soap made entirely from vegetable oil. Add ½ cup of lemon juice. The lemon will add acidity to your soap, which is a powerful decreasing agent. Add essential oils. Thoroughly mix all ingredients using a whisk. Add your liquid dish soap to an empty bottle. You can use old store-bought soap bottles, or any decorative bottle.
